Home » The GardensThe Gardens Thanks to the generosity of the Van Vleck Family and our many donors — and the dedication of our volunteers and staff — this property serves as an extraordinary resource for our community. A center for horticulture, education, music, art and quiet contemplation, the gardens are open to the public for their enjoyment and the house is available to nonprofits for meetings and events. Our cell phone tour and Visitor Center are sources of information on the history of the property and its horticultural resources. Your contributions help keep this a special place for all to enjoy and we welcome volunteers to help with our varied programs. The restoration and improvement of our gardens and facilities were made possible by generous gifts, including: Wisteria Courtyard, Jacqueline Mcmullen Formal Garden, Brenda And Hartley Bingham Winter Garden, Ellen And Carl Culbreth Azalea Walk, Heidi Muschick And Barry Dibernardo Tennis Court Garden, Lois And Michael Deenihan Children’s Butterfly Garden, In Memory Of Mark Landrum Greenhouse, Judith and William Turner Outdoor Classroom And Courtyard, Teddy And Wilt Hawkins Visitor Center, Marianne And Roy Smith Edible Garden, Suzanne And George Harris Education Center, The Raymond Family Garden Photos Plan a Visit Use our gardens map, check our plant list, or take a virtual tour.
