Home » Second Sunday Concert SeriesSecond Sunday Concert Series Music fills Van Vleck House and Gardens on Second Sundays’ New Season The Historic home’s light-filled living room, with its grand piano, is an ideal setting for chamber concerts. Musicians love to perform here, and audiences love the intimate setting where they can converse with performers. Classical, jazz, and song are lined up for the 2025-2026 season at Van Vleck’ s Second Sunday concerts (October-June), celebrating 14 years this season. Additional concerts may be scheduled as dates permit. 2025–2026 Concert Schedule October 12, 2025 – Anthony Kalanick – clarinet: Anthony Kalanick is a versatile clarinetist and woodwind specialist, earning recognition in solo competitions with repertoire ranging from Mozart to Brahms to Stravinsky. November 2, 2025* – Tom Colao & New World Ensemble – jazz ensemble (Returning Artist): Led by saxophonist/flutist Tom Colao, this group will be performing jazz in the tradition of the jazz greats of the past and present. Rescheduling to 2026. December 14, 2025 – Marrazza-Cart Duo (Returning Artist): A chamber ensemble, Robert Cart and Regina DiMedio-Marrazza are renowned for passionate and musically stirring performances. January 11, 2026 – Frank Gulino composer – trombone concerto, Brittany Lasch, trombonist, Thomas Weaver, pianist: Frank Gulino is among the most in-demand writers of chamber music and recital literature for brass instruments. February 15, 2026 – Noah Stevens – violist solo: Noah Stevens is a principal viola for various ensembles. He has composed music for film and dance, and his concert music read by critically acclaimed ensembles. March 8, 2026 – Youn-Hee Kim – piano (Returning Artist): Award-winning pianist, Youn-Hee Kim has performed internationally in solo concerts as well as with orchestras. She is also on the piano faculty at Montclair State University. April 12, 2026 – Teatro Nuovo – Italian opera vocalist (Returning Artist): Italian for “new theater”, Teatro Nuovo is devoted to cutting-edge interpretation of classic Italian opera, offering exciting revivals and freshly re-studied interpretations. May 10, 2026 – New Jersey Symphony Chamber Players: Our popular annual Mother’s Day concert on the lawn will be held on the Terrace and the Bingham Formal Garden lawn. June 14, 2026 – Diane and Gerard Barros – country and western hoedown on terrace. (Returning Artist): Gerard & Diane Barros are a husband and wife duo, specializing in 2-part harmonies, playing tunes from the 1950s to 2000s with an old school approach. * Some Second Sundays are moved to other Sundays due to scheduling conflicts All concerts begin at 2pm (unless otherwise noted). Attendance for indoor concerts is limited to 50 attendees. Reservations are required. Suggested donation of $ IO/person.
