Shawn Slappy, Director of Facilities

Shawn Slappy brings more than 25 years of experience in facilities management and building operations to his role as Director of Facilities.

He oversees the daily operations, maintenance, and strategic management of facility services to ensure safe, efficient, and well‑maintained environments that support the organization’s mission. He has extensive experience managing union workforces, developing and mentoring staff, and implementing policies and procedures that promote operational excellence and compliance. Shawn’s expertise includes budget and payroll oversight, contractor and vendor management, invoice coding and processing, and coordinating maintenance and capital improvement projects. Known for his strong leadership, problem‑solving abilities, and collaborative approach, Shawn is committed to maintaining high standards of safety, efficiency, and service while supporting the continued growth and success of The Montclair Foundation.
