Age: Preschool 3-5 year olds
Our beautiful winged friends, the monarch butterflies are back fluttering around the garden. Join us with your little one for the August Tales on the Trails class, to learn about the lifecycle of a monarch butterfly and how important they are as pollinators. We will be reading “I’m a Caterpillar” by Jean Marzollo, crafting and taking a short walk through the gardens to try and spot our butterfly friends.
Discover the wonders of the outdoor world with your little one. This program begins in the gardens of Van Vleck with a story, then continues with a walk, and concludes with a simple craft or activity. All programs focus on the theme listed. A parent or caregiver must accompany each child. Programs will be held outdoors, weather permitting. Fee: $10/class per child for Members / $15/class per child for Non-members
