July 31 – Summer Interest Garden Tour – Join Laura Roberts, Director of Horticulture at The Montclair Foundation – Van Vleck House & Gardens, for a journey through the beauty of the season. Tour highlights will include many beautiful blooming specimens as well as a visit to our Kitchen Garden which showcases a bountiful collection of veggies, greens, and herbs. Outdoor tour, so please dress for the weather with appropriate footwear.

August 7 – A Closer Look –  Secret features of the garden projected from our microscope… enjoy a multitude of samples from the beautiful to the bizarre.  Attendees are invited to bring a few of their own samples as well.

August 14 – Seed Paper Making – Make your own seed paper that you can actually take home and plant!

August 21 – Drought Resistant Plants – Join us for a walking tour of the drought resistant plants thriving in the gardens of Van Vleck and learn why they are so tolerant of our New Jersey summers.
