Schumann Fund Announces Q2 Grant Awards! July 12, 2024 by tracey We are pleased to announce that ten Essex County non-profit organizations received $335,000 in grant awards approved by Schumann Fund for New Jersey’s Board of Trustees at our June 2024 quarterly meeting. The funds support advancing the Fund’s three priorities – affordable homes and healthy communities; early childhood and education; and child welfare and youth justice programs. Each organization is engaged in a range of complementary strategies to positively impact children and families, including community power-building, Essex County direct service programs, and public policy. “These non-profit organizations are supporting youth mental health, parent engagement and advocacy in early childhood education, and research on youth perspectives on New Jersey’s child welfare system,” noted Schumann Fund’s Executive Director, Lucy Vandenberg. Board Chair, Martha Day emphasized, “We are also excited about the work our partners are doing in Essex County and at a policy level throughout the state of New Jersey to create affordable housing opportunities and foster family stability by preventing evictions.” Read more about each of these grantee partners and their awards by clicking the links below.
