Take a walk through our magical trail and create something in our Fairy Garden, located along the Upper Mountain Avenue border.

Tips to Avoid Ticks and Poison Ivy
If you’re wondering how to identify poison ivy, look at its leaves. Each leaf of the poison ivy plant has three leaflets. A popular saying is, “leaves of three, let them be.” Poison ivy leaves turn reddish in the spring, green in the summer and yellow, orange, or red in the fall. Poison ivy grows as a shrub or a vine. A poison ivy vine is hairy and ropelike.

Tick exposure can occur year-round, but ticks are most active during warmer months (April-September). Ticks are found in wooded areas, high grass, or leaf litter. They are most active during the spring, summer, and fall, but in warmer areas may be active all year round. After You Come Indoors: Check your clothing for ticks. Ticks may be carried into your vehicle and your home on clothing. Any ticks that are found should be removed.
