Join us for an extra concert in our Sunday Series this month to celebrate the magic of jazz. Saxophonist Tom Colao will bring his accomplished quartet.
The New World Quartet/Quintet is a well-rehearsed and polished jazz ensemble. The group was formed two years ago featuring local professional musicians who have performed with Billy Hart, Rufus Reid, Kenny Wheeler, David Schnitter, Oliver Lake, Chuck Mangione to mention a few. The members also perform/teach in the metro New York area, as well as, around the country. The members include Tom Colao/alto saxophone, Russ Di Bona/drums, Bob Rodriguez/piano, Tony Scally/guitar and Michael Topping/bass. The music performed is in the tradition of the jazz greats of the past and present. The New World has developed an enthusiastic following in the area. The group’s dedication and joy of the music is the catalyst in developing the band repertoire and sharing their creative improvised music. Our mission is to inspire others through jazz to find their creative spirit.
Reservations are required at this link.
The concert is free. A suggested donation of $10 is appreciated.
