How You Can Help

You can contribute to The Montclair Foundation in a number of different ways!

Our grants program reviews and awards money twice annually to a wide variety of local nonprofits. This funding makes a big impact on small budgeted organizations aiding the arts, family services and underserved communities in Montclair. These grants are funded through donations, grants, stocks and securities, IRAs, legacy/ planned gifts as well as gifts of tangible property such as art.

The Montclair Foundation owns and maintains Van Vleck House & Gardens. We do not receive financial support from the township of Montclair. Among the sources of funding used to maintain Van Vleck House & Gardens is our Green Acres Fund, which also accepts donations, grants, gifts, etc.

Here are your opportunities to support the community:

  • Direct Donation
  • Corporate Match
  • IRA Distribution
  • Bequests

These opportunities provide for the peace and tranquility of this extraordinary property and furnish the non-profit community with the ability to thrive.

Become a Member of Van Vleck! Your membership is a steady source of support at all levels. Benefits include: free admission to select Van Vleck classes and events such as our Outdoor Adventures program for children, discounted pricing to select events and at our annual Plant Sale, free or reduced admission to more than 200 gardens and arboreta through the American Horticultural Society, and much more …
