Second Sunday Concert – Anthony Kalanick, clarinet

October 12, 2025 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Anthony Kalanick is a versatile clarinetist and woodwind specialist from New Jersey. He is currently pursuing a Master of Music in Clarinet Performance at Kent State University, where he studies with Amitai Vardi. He earned his Bachelor of Music Performance degree from Montclair State University, studying under Keriann DiBari.
Anthony’s musical experience spans a wide range of performance settings, including orchestral, operatic, chamber, and contemporary ensembles. As a woodwind doubler, he performs regularly on clarinet, saxophone, flute, and oboe. He is an active member of Reed Theory, a contemporary reed trio, and performs with the Erie Philharmonic.
He has earned recognition in several solo competitions, including the Camerata Artists International Competition, the Charleston International Music Competition, and the Music and Stars Awards, with repertoire ranging from Mozart to Brahms to Stravinsky.

Music fills Van Vleck House on ‘Second Sundays’. The historic house’s light-filled living room, with its grand piano, is an ideal setting for chamber concerts.  Musicians love to perform there, and audiences love the intimate setting where they can converse with performers.  Classical, jazz, and song are lined up for the 2025-2026 season at Van Vleck’s Second Sunday concerts (Oct – June), celebrating 14 years this season.

All concerts begin at 2PM. Seats are limited and reservations are recommended. Seats that are unclaimed at the start of the concert will be available to take.
